The Tillamook Head Trail is a quintessential Oregon hiking experience, and features a stunning promontory 1,200 feet above the Pacific Ocean. Hikers will be treated to little slices of history along the way as well, including an abandoned World War II radio station, and viewpoints once scouted by the Lewis & Clark Expedition.
Featuring nearly 5 miles of trail and an elevation gain of nearly 1,800 foot, Saddle Mountain marks the highest point in Northwest Oregon. This steep climb ultimately rewards those who make its journey with stunning panoramic views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens, and the mouth of the Columbia River.
