Gearhart GolfGearhart Golf Links. Gearhart Golf Links is an 18 hole, public course located in Gearhart. The classic links–style course, opened in 1892 as 3 holes across the sand dunes, is the oldest course in the northwest and recognized on GOLF Magazine’s 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America.” The main hazards are the old–style Scottish bunkers with hanging lips. Ladies play from the same tees as the men, with the exception of three par 5s. The facility offers a restaurant/bar, meeting space, pro shop, golf instruction, power carts, club rental and tournaments. Call 503–738–3538 or visit www.gearhartgolflinks.com.

The Highlands at Gearhart. The Highlands at Gearhart is a par 30 course, perfect for your short game, overlooking Gearhart Beach. With breathtaking views of the Pacific, this challenging course has rough terrain and narrow fairways. Hole #1, a 195–yard, par 3, requires a tee shot up a dogleg left fairway past hazards, then a short shot to a well–bunkered green. Hackers love this course because when their game goes bad they can enjoy the scenery. This is the only non–smoking golf course in the country.
